Before Your Procedure

Our expert care team will call you before you arrive to confirm:

  • Appointment arrival time
  • Pre-op considerations & instructions
  • Personal medical history

Food, drink & medication restrictions:

  • Stop taking aspirin, vitamins & herbal medications 14 days before surgery
  • Stop taking ibuprofen (Motrin, Advil) two days before surgery
  • Reduce smoking to improve recovery and healing

You may need to see your primary care physician for a physical exam before your procedure. Your physician will notify you well in advance if any lab work, EKG or doctor appointments are needed.

Day of Procedure

Make sure your appointment goes smoothly in a few easy steps:

  • Plan on not driving or operating machinery for 24 hours after procedure
  • Bring a family member or friend to accompany you to and from surgery
  • Dress comfortably in loose, casual clothing
  • Remove makeup from facial skin
  • Leave all jewelry and valuables at home
  • Bring eye glasses and carrying case
  • Bring copies of healthcare proxies & pre-surgery instructions

Insurance

Bring your insurance cards to your visit. We’ll check to see if your procedure is covered, file all claims with your HMO, PPO and Medicare, and bill you for treatments not covered by insurance. We participate in a number of health care plans available in our area. Please check with our business staff concerning your particular policy.
